By Colin Woodward

I will be giving a talk on my book, Marching Masters: Slavery, Race, and the Confederate Army during the Civil War at the Cox building in downtown Little Rock’s River Market on Saturday, August 16th at 2 p.m. The Cox building is owned by CALS, the Central Arkansas Library system. I will also give a reading from and sign books. I will have copies of Marching Masters on sale.

This is the first talk I have given in support of the book. It’s all free, and I hope to see you there!

Colin Woodward is a historian and archivist. He is the author of Marching Masters, Slavery, Race, and the Confederate Army during the Civil War (University of Virginia Press, 2014). He is writing a second book on Johnny Cash.
